Acupuncture is extremely effective for a wide range of health complaints. It originated in China and other far eastern cultures over 2,000 years ago. Today it is used worldwide not only to help people with specific symptoms or conditions but also because they feel generally unwell but have no clear diagnosis or as a preventative measure to help maintain good health.
I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council, the leading regulatory body for the practice of acupuncture in the UK. My acupuncture practice is approved and registered with South Oxfordshire District Council’s Licensing Authority.
Research has shown that acupuncture can be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Some of them are listed below, but more information is available from a number of organisations including WHO (World Health Organisation), NICE (National Institute for Health and clinical Excellence) and BAcC (British Acupuncture Council)
What can you expect from your first treatment? Is commonly asked and thought about by people before they embark on a course of acupuncture. Does it hurt? Is another commonly asked question, Find the answer to these questions and a lot more:
